Draka fire-resistant cables are Made in Holland. The power and signal cables are specially developed for fire protection systems where 30, 60 or 90 minutes of function retention is required. The cables play an important role in reducing fire risks. The cables can be recognized by the red color of the outer sheath.
Fire-resistant cables ensure that people have enough time to safely evacuate a building. Fire-resistant cables continue to transmit signals and/or energy for a minimum period of time during a fire. This minimum period is indicated by E30, E60 or E90. The number stands for the minimum number of minutes that the cable remains functional. Draka is the only cable manufacturer that produces both its compounds and cables in the Netherlands. This results in a complete portfolio, both power and signal cables, with the recognizable red outer sheath.
